Magnum... Let's face it they have become the most recognized and consumed ice cream on the planet. So it is safe to say they did something right. Magnum was protected for 20 years and after that they did not have a patent protecting the classic magnum ice cream so others started to copy the ice cream and people called the fake Magnums, Magnums too!
This on its own is a testament to the marketing over a long period of time.
But now we have a chance to become the next leader of ice cream by revamping the classic Magnum in significant ways.
I have developed a new ice cream that looks like the classic Magnum but made some radical improvements to it. I want to tell exactly what but I can not unfortunately. I want to be able to do one of two things.
A, Find investors who can pay for patents and be able to offer licensing deals.
B, Get in touch with Unilever and let them have the patent. In return I want a fixed compensation per ice cream produced with my innovative improvements.
Without telling too much (so it will stay patent-able) it solves some big problems when it comes to the end user. The consumers will for sure love the Magnum 2.0 even more than the classic one. They will experience a new innovative exciting ice cream that limits the chances of brain freeze, and new options for how they taste the ice cream and eat the ice cream. It is better for the environment as the new design needs to be cooled less, this also impacts the way they are distributed. Production costs will be roughly the same as the Magnums made today. The initial costs for adapting the production line would nearly certainly be mitigated by decreasing the overall size of the ice cream, but the end user will feel they have the better end of the bargain.
I would even go as far to say they will be willing to pay more for the Magnum 2.0 (I know I would)
B.T.W. Magnum 2.0 is not just a name, the 2.0 stands for the next 20 years of exclusivity! My innovation will become the standard! (think sliced bread)
